Yes, it's advisable to use your own cleaning equipment and products for regular services, ensuring you're aware of what is being used in your home. If you prefer the cleaner to supply products and equipment, an additional cost applies. However, for deep cleaning and end-of-lease cleaning, all equipment and products are included as part of the service.
Generally speaking, you would need: a vacuum cleaner, mop, squeegee (for shower glass), duster, multipurpose spray, microfiber cloths, glass cleaner or vinegar, dish soap, toilet brush, toilet disinfectant/cleaner, and sponges. Some homes may also require a broom and/or leaf blower.
If you need to reschedule please contact our friendly staff at your earliest convenience so we can rebook your service for a time that best suits you. For cancellation please provide us with a 24-hour notice to avoid a late cancellation fee. In the event of a cancellation at the door without prior notice, a full-price cancellation fee will be applied.
Our standard team consists of two cleaners, and occasionally, an additional team member may be necessary. However, for smaller units or houses, such as studios, one-bedroom, two-bedroom, or touch-up jobs, we may send a team of one person.
Typically, we can relocate lightweight furniture (weighing less than 8 kg). However, in line with workplace health and safety (WH&S) guidelines and to minimise the risk of damages, we refrain from moving larger items such as sofas, armchairs, beds, and significant appliances like fridges, washing machines, and dryers.
Payment can be made by bank transfer at the end of each service (information provided with the booking).
At First Shine, our goal is to always assign a dedicated cleaner to you for your regular cleaning services. In the event of any unforeseen circumstances, we'll contact you before the service to discuss any necessary changes.
No, it's not required, but we highly recommend meeting with your cleaner during your first service to discuss your cleaning needs and instructions on equipment usage. If you won't be home during the house cleaning, please let us know so we can coordinate access to your home with the cleaner.
